It was a good day!

I was very pleased to get our stations in today, even though I had to load them all in the salon myself (thank God for dollies!) And they look amazing! I couldn't be happier with them. Then I also got to meet some awesome people who came in for interviews for receptionists and assistants. They are making it very hard to make a decision. Lots to do this week-end, more tiling (Rob is getting sick of doing it I think) furniture to be put together, and cleaning! If your bored this holiday week-end stop by we can always use an extra hand. I was very proud of myself, I put our computer together today! I even got the touch screen working. Now I just have to figure out how to get online and load our awesome software so you can start booking appointments online.

Making more progress & some pictures

I am very excited, today the painters finished and it looks great! We got the phone and internet installed yesterday, I am happy to say that we now have a phone number 1-734-225-6251 Although I still need to set up the voicemail because I won't be there to answer very much (and I need to hook the computer up too). Our website is coming along, a few little snags, but it should be up and able to start taking appointments soon. Yes, you will be able to book your next visit online 24-7! I thought alot of you would like that feature. Stay tuned for more updates!! Here are a few pictures of the colors, although the camera doesn't do them justice. Now to get the furniture in!

We're getting there!

The paint is almost done and I love the colors! It's so hard to pick from those little swatches. We will be receiving our Stations, Chairs, Dryers, Shampoo Chairs, and Pedicure units this week. I'm hoping the boxes will all fit, lol! We still have some tiling, floors & ceiling, to finish up this week-end. We also had the city inspectors through today, everything went very well, just a few minor details that need to be smoothed out. My last day of work will be Tues, Aug. 26Th and I am so excited to have more time to devote to getting the salon up and running. I know some of you will need your hair done, but give my cell phone a call (313-657-8597) and we can see what we can do about getting you in before the opening day. We have a new projected date : Sept. 16Th. Unfortunately I over looked a piece of paper that need to be filed with the State Board and it will take at least 3 weeks (or possibly 30 days :( to receive it and we can't open with out it. So pray that it gets here fast! More pictures to come soon, I keep forgetting my camera!

A bit about "Us"

I wanted to share a little bit about "us". We are Rob and Sarah Nitz. Sarah has been a Stylist for 10 years. Over this 10 years I have worked in quite a few salons, some good, some GREAT. I have attended many classes and hair shows. Recently I have become an educator for a company called Pravana. We will be carrying a full line of their hair care products and hair color, (it's an amazing line! You'll love it as much as I do!). Rob is a Programmer for a company called Valenite. He'll be doing alot more behind the scenes, but don't be surprised to see him in at the salon a few times a week! We have 2 beautiful little boys, Robbie 2 1/2 & Jacob 7 months, they are our pride and joy!

When we saw the open building, (Urban Creations had moved), it sparked our interests! Sarah had worked at this location for years, and it always had proven to be a hot spot. After looking at the building and weighing out the pro's and con's, we decided to jump in with both feet! So Salon Epiphany was born! We have been hard at work ever since finding all the right "things" for the salon and we can't wait to share them with you!

So Very Excited!!!

We are so very excited to announce our plans to open Salon Epiphany! We have been hard at work doing some renovations and all the paper work. We hope to open Sept. 9th!! As long as all of the city inspections go well, (and we don't sleep till then!) It should be an obtainable goal. I've posted a few of our "before" pictures to give you an idea of what we are doing.

We are still accepting applications for Hair and Nail Professionals. We have had an overwhelming response for receptionist and assistant positions. So if you know of anyone who is look to further their career, please pass on our information!
